OUR M CLASS FLEET

Gayndah Heritage Railway Rail Trail has been gifted 6 M Class Series “Sunlander” carriages from the former long distance passenger train the “Sunlander”.

The four M Class Series carriages are: MCC 1519 (Club Car), MDC 1462 (Dining Car), MAS 1536 (First Class Sleeper) and MMV 1439 (Brake Van).

Visitors will have the opportunity to view static M Class Series “Sunlander” carriages. Visitors will be given an opportunity to a unique experience of dining in the Dining Car with meals prepared by local high school students under the supervision of a Hospitality Teacher or Qualified Chef from the Hospitality Industry.

Tea, coffee and light snacks will also be available for the community and visitors wishing for a unique experience on board the former Sunlander carriages. Birthday parties and special functions will also be available to the community, residents of the North Burnett Region and visitors.
