Ideraway

Ideraway Siding is located 120.820 kilometres from Mungar Junction and is 107 metres above sea level.

Ideraway had a siding and telephone connection with Maryborough and Mungar Junction. Ideraway was the major hub for transporting livestock and grain by rail. Ideraway Siding was referred to as a “Gate” with a Station Mistress appointed to oversee the day to day station operations.

A station building, railway house and cream shed were utilised at Ideraway. Ideraway was a designated railmotor stop for the Maryborough to Monto and return Railmotor service.
